Health services

The social and health care centre of Loviisa offers amongst other the following services: urgent and non-urgent health care, oral health care, physiotherapy, family centre services, services for seniors and a hospital ward.

There are also several services provided by the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, such as the laboratory, medical imaging services and psychiatric outpatient wards.

You are kindly requested to contact Loviisa health care centre primarily the service Klinik. We try to respond to contacts made before 3 pm during the same weekday. We respond to contacts made later than this during the next weekday.

If you are unable to make contact online you can also call Loviisa health care centre at the telephone number 019 505 1300 (019 5600 300 as of 1.1.2023). The call centre is open 8 am to 3 pm during weekdays. Appointments can only be made by booking one, so always call in advance! Appointments can be made for 8 am to 4 pm during weekdays

HUSLAB (laboratory)

As a rule samples are taken at the HUSLAB laboratories using booked times, in urgent cases samples can still be taken using a queue number. Bookings in Uusimaa and Kymenlaakso primarily online at the address Tervetuloa — HUSLAB ( or our customer service by telephone at the number 09 471 86800, open on weekdays between 7.30 am and 3.30 pm.

HUSLAB’s sample service point in Loviisa is located at the Loviisa health care centre. Laboratory samples are also taken at the health station in Lapinjärvi on Tuesdays (each week) and on Wednesdays (even weeks).


HUS Medical Imaging (X-ray) Loviisa

The Medical Imaging services of HUS Centre of Diagnostics have started to use the patient information system Apotti. Along with taking Apotti into use appointments booked by patients are transferred to the patient service Maisa. The changes apply to appointments that patients themselves earlier have been able to book at HUS Appointment bookings ( Maisa can be used by all such inhabitants in the municipalities of Uusimaa, for whom a request or prescription for medical imaging has been made from the own health care station.
