The city of Loviisa has a local Plan for Early Childhood Education and Care, which both civic and private childcare units and their personnel follow. The plan describes how early childhood education and care is to be carried out in Loviisa.
When the parental allowance period ends, you can choose how and where your child is cared for:
If your child is less than three years old, you can apply for child home care allowance at Kela. You can make use of our open early childhood education services without losing the child home care allowance.
You can apply for municipal early childhood education and care services either in a childcare unit or in family childcare. The city of Loviisa provides full-day care, part-time care and evening care. Ask the head of the childcare unit for further details.
Places in private early childhood care and education can be inquired directly from family day carers. You can apply for private day care allowance and municipal supplement from the Department of Social Security, Kela. If your child is in partial time daycare the municipal supplement is applied from the city. Further information about this can be found here (finns ingen engelsk text på andra sidan av länken)
